Why am I fascinated with Mythology?
Because anything can happen. The Greeks believed that the Gods were real, they believed that they had to pay homage to them and respect their rules of life. The Myths and Gods were their way of explaining natural phenomenon that they otherwise would have no way of understanding. Imagine if you didn’t know that thunder was the result of lightening or that lightening is the result of static electricity between frozen particles in storm clouds. How would you explain these things occurring? That’s what I thought, you would also think that it was a giant God in the sky throwing down lightening bolts because you did something wrong to make him angry. It’s a logical conclusion when you don’t know the facts. Especially when the thunder comes next and sounds like a giant being yelling at you. So this is why I love mythology, anything that cannot be explained is given an explanation. How does the sun move across the sky? Someone must be pulling it, it surely can’t move by itself! It is the fascinating way in which these stories have come about and how they still exist today for us to know. It is unfathomable that these stories were created thousands of years ago and we STILL know and enjoy them!! It blows my mind! Anyway, so that is why I love mythology and I hope I can share some funny, sad, freaky and happy stories with you to enjoy.
