Eros or as you might know him better as, Cupid, was a normally depicted as a young beautiful man. Not the baby in the diaper flying around with the arrows shooting people. Yes, he did use arrows to shoot people and infect them with love, but he was not a baby. In the earlier depictions he was seen as a companion to Aphrodite but eventually became known as her son, he was also seen as a naughty boy for always causing mischief with his arrows. For instance, he made the God Apollo fall madly in love with a forest nymph named Daphne. She did all she could to elude him, ran as far and as fast as she could, in fact, she was running so fast through the forest that Apollo was scared she would hurt herself and so shouted that he would slow down his chase so that she could run more cautiously and not hurt her feet on the hard ground.
